House shopping at 3 a.m.

I woke up thinking about where I want to live when my house sells. There are so many good places to live in and around Austin, but the reality is that I have always wanted to live closer into central Austin,.  The question is, what am I willing to sacrifice more of ?  If I move further out, like I am now in Cedar Park, I sacrifice my time on the road and mileage on the car, since I seem to be driving into town at least a couple of times a week.   If I live closer in, I sacrifice square footage because it costs more.  The reality is that I don't need the 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms and 2 living areas I have now. More square footage equals more opportunity to accumulate crap. I'm good at that!

The market is ripe and I'm anxious to start visiting houses. The hard part for me is waiting until my house lists (next week or so) and sells. It should sell fast, but there's no way to tell for sure.

Also stuck in my mind is that awful "What does the fox say" YouTube video. Brayden watched it too many times when he was with me and now it is stuck in my head.  In case you're one of the 3 people in America who hasn't seen it by now, here you go:  What does the fox say???
